“Dopod has released a 3G communicator CHT 9000 for the Taiwanese operator CHT (Chunghwa Telecom). This is another implementation of HTC Hermes platform recently announced by HTC under the name HTC TyTN.
I’d remind you that HTC decided to enter the market under the single brand and announced 2 HTC devices – HTC TyTN and HTC MTeoR. Dopod is a subsidiary of HTC and releases HTC devices under Dopod brand. The communicator is designed for WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks and equipped with a 2.8” touchscreen LCD (QVGA, 65K colors), a sliding QWERTY-keyboard, a 2-megapixel camera and an expansion slot for microSD (TransFlash) cards. It is based on Samsung 400 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB flash memory. There is the support of Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) wireless networks, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB interfaces. Measuring 112.5x58x21.95 mm it weighs 176 g. CHT 9000 is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 with MSFP.” More
