A technical overview of ZigBee technology

Louis Frenzel, an old colleague of mine at Penton Media, has written a really good

technical overview of ZigBee technology in

the newest supplement of Electronic Design magazine. If you want to get into the nuts and bolts of

ZigBee, Lou is as good as anybody at explaining how a technology works and what to expect from it. The piece also

features a nice chart comparing the various wireless technologies—Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, etc.—and discusses their

respective operating frequencies, data rates, and applications, among other categories.
