Motorola’s first EV-DO phone

The FCC has approved Motorola’s first EV-DO compatible handset (FCC ID: IHDT56EL1), the Motorola E815. The E815 was announced at CES last week and boasts a nice list of features:

  • Video-on-demand (Ed. note: we believe this is through Verizon VCAST).
  • 40MB internal memory plus a TransFlash slot
  • Bluetooth
  • 1.3 megapixel camera

If the Motorola E815 ships on Verizon Wireless, which is expected, the phone may replace the trouble-laden Motorola V710. The E815 is expected to ship in the first quarter of this year.
