WiMAX threatens 3G mobile services

WiMAX is a wireless network technology that can connect Wi-Fi hotspot with each other, providing a wireless alternative to cable and DSL for broadband access. It is also anticipated that WiMAX will allow interpenetration for broadband VOIP, video and internet access simultaneously.
