The slider keypad allow the engineer to produce a smaller phone with bigger screen at the same time as the design allow more space on the front panel for LCD screen. SK Telecom engineer further give the flexibility of turn the screen around for better angle of camera view (camera module is attached at the side).
Another model (black in color) has a slider keypad and a slider screen. The screen hide the multimedia player function keys.
